Booking a Tour/Safari with Prisha tours

When booking your safari trip direct with us  or with your travel agent, please be sure to point at an itinerary from our website or have a specialized itinerary / travel plan of some sort, intended date for arrival and departure, number of participants, sleeping arrangements and flight details, if known. This ensures that all arrangements are made to your complete satisfaction.

Deposits and confirmation

There is no minimum fixed percentage of deposit set for you to confirm a tour as this should entirely depend on the cost and the activities included in safari agenda. Any down payments required should be communicated by the Prisha tours manager. Some Tour operators ask for any amount between 30 to 50% of the tour cost but sometimes there are trips where the cost of permits and/or country airplane tickets is even more than 80% of the overall tour cost with nearly everything having to be fully paid well ahead of time – while other tours may require no permits or local flights hence very little or probably no deposit may be necessary to confirm your safari tour booking. If you are booking a tour that is scheduled at least 16 weeks away, your minimum deposit should be able to cover the cost of gorilla and/or chimpanzee permits or even country airplane tickets if appropriate. Some safari lodges may ask for a fraction of the room cost to confirm your booking but this should be in the covered in the deposit required by us bookings manager.
The full amount owed by the client to us shall be payable not less than two weeks prior to the commencement date of the Safari. Cash payment is acceptable on arrival at manager approval.
On issuance of an e-mail confirmation of your payment or a Prisha tours official receipt,

your booking is confirmed and a contract exists as per the agreed safari itinerary. Reservations made within thirty days of departure require the total amount due to be paid at the time of confirmation and if there is not deposit required, this shall be communicated by the manager.
For safaris that include Gorilla and/or Chimpanzee trekking scheduled in the peak season months of the year, advance bookings of at least twelve weeks are strongly recommended. Cancellations may allow for shorter term bookings, but it is strongly advised to book well ahead of time if specific dates are needed. Children under fifteen are not allowed to trek the gorillas.

All bookings are subject to availability. Please note that since the price increment of Rwanda Gorilla Permits to US$ 1500 @, Uganda Gorilla permits have become a scarce commodity during peak seasons of the year. The reason we suggest you book well ahead of the time. Please see below permits’ costs in Uganda and Rwanda.
Ugandan Gorilla permit cost = US$600, Rwanda Gorilla permit = $1500 in Rwanda, Uganda Gorilla Habituation Experience; USD1500, Kibale Chimps Habituation Experience (CHEX) = USD220, Uganda Chimpanzee permit = $150, Rwanda Chimpanzee permit = $100 – Note that Rwanda Chimps are semi habituated.
